Hero MotoCorp has launched an exclusive Rally Edition of its widely popular motorcycle Xpulse 200 4V in the Indian market. The limited-edition Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition with the factory-fitted Rally Kit further strengthens the off-road capabilities of the Xpulse 200 4V with an enhanced suspension setup and increased ground clearance among others.
The Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition features a taller and fully-adjustable front suspension with 250mm travel and a fully-adjustable 10-step rear suspension with 220mm travel. In a true rally spirit, it also gets an enhanced seat height of 885mm, handlebar risers of 40mm, increased ground clearance of 270mm, wheelbase of 1426mm and increased trail of 116mm. An extended gear lever and a longer side stand have been added too.
The motorcycle comes with 21" front and 18" rear spoke wheels fitted with dual-purpose Ceat tyres, an aluminium skid plate, a toothed brake pedal, and an upswept exhaust. The Rally Edition tips the scale at a lightweight 160kg.
Powering the Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition is the same BS6 200cc 4-valve-oil-cooled engine, which churns out a maximum power of 18.9 bhp at 8500rpm, and a peak torque of 17.35 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. For better heat management in heavy traffic, the cooling system comes with a 7-fin oil cooler.
